Overview

Leaving early in the morning, a 4x4 jeep ride through the awakening city brings you to the desert where you start with a drive through the beautiful sand dunes. Stop for several photo-opportunities and refreshments. Try your hand at sand boarding on the powder soft dunes then take a few pictures at a camel farm. Continue the drive to our Desert campsite where you experience a camel ride, smoke an Arabic water-pipe ‘Shisha’ and drink Arabic coffee ‘Gahwa’.

Dress code: lightweight summer clothing is suitable for most of the year, but sweaters or jackets may be needed for the winter months, especially in the evenings. Good quality sunglasses are advised. Hats are advisable when in direct sunlight.

The duration of the actual tour takes 4 – 4.5 hour but the driving time from Dubai hotel and return may take another 60 – 90 minutes depending on traffic conditions and time of day.

Very enjoyable excursion, description of the tour was precise. Lots of information provided during the tour. The dune driving and camel ride were great fun, a once in a lifetime experience.

Great experience! Thanks to the tourguide for the nice morning, dune bashing and the lovely breakfast!
We were able to spot some animals and see the sunrise in the desert.

Orient Tours is an excellent company! Highly recommend spending your time in the UAE with them.

Our trip to the desert was one of the highlights of our trip. I highly recommend requesting the services of Sahib (driver). He was extremely friendly, funny and an overall legend at what he does. Besides giving us an awesome ride on the sand dunes, he also gave us an in-depth view of life in the UAE etc.

We were also joined by a guide from Orient Tours (Dejan) who was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and an excellent guide. Even though our days started in the early hours, he was there and ready to take on the day with a smile and encouraging words.

After one hour drive to the Sharja desert we started an impressing Tour with lots of activities like Falken Show, Sandbording, Driving in the dunes and Camel riding. Thanks to our Guide Sahib, who did a great job and drived us safely through the fog :-).
